Abstract

The objectives of this study are (1) Identifying the businesses that can be done in developing Multi Commodity Agribusiness based on problems and potential, (2) Measuring the role that can be carried out by Farmer Groups in the development of Multi Commodity Agribusiness, (3) Formulate strategies to strengthen Farmer Groups so they can play a role in the development of Multi Commodity Agribusiness. This research was conducted in Merah Mata Village Banyuasin I Subdistrict of Banyuasin District, in October 2019. The research method was survey method. The data collected consists of primary data and secondary data. Based on the results of the study (1) business carried out in the development of agribusiness namely from the process of input to output by involving farmer groups, (2) The role of farmer groups in the study has three indicators in them namely a) farmer groups as a vehicle for learning and organizing, b) farmer groups as a vehicle for cooperation i, and c) farmer groups as a vehicle for farming production units, that farmer groups have a significant role High on the development of multi-commodity agribusiness in Desa Merah Mata., and (3) Priority strategies that can be used to strengthen farmer groups in developing multi-commodity agribusiness in Merah Mata Village are the ST category or Diversification Strategy and are located in the second quadrant
