Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of parent self-efficacy to student achievement at SMPN 19 Palembang. this research used ex-post facto method. The population of this research are all student grade VIII SMPN 19 Palembang. As many as 352 student which have 350 fathers and 347 mothers. The sample collection of this research was taken using purposive sampling technique as much as 150 students where there are 50 students, 50 fathers and 50 mothers with pre-requisite which the student have complete parent (father and mother),who have the top 5 ranking, live with both parents, and The student has a cell phones (Android / IOS) to send proof that the person who filled out the questionnaire was really a parent. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire/questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used to determine the effect of using simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was a significant effect of father's self-efficacy on student achievement motivation, the results obtained were Thitung>Ttabel (1,863> 1,667), and there was no significant effect of maternal self- efficacy on student achievement motivation were Thitung<Ttabel(0,415<1,667).
