Abstract

This research is based on the important role of parents' self-efficacy in children's education, especially in learning at home. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in self-efficacy of mothers and fathers in helping children learn at home in SDN 41 Palembang. The data collection instrument used a self-efficacy scale developed by Bandura. The research method is quantitative research with comparative research types. The subjects involved in this study were parents of class I - VI students of 88 respondents. Researchers used the Slovin formula with the Purposive Sampling technique (selected) for the subject under study. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. The analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis. Hypothesis test results using the independent test sample t_test with the Separated Variant formula obtained value of t_count greater than t_table (9.88> 1.987). So, it can be concluded that there are differences in the self-efficacy of mothers and fathers in helping children learn at home in SDN 41 Palembang.
