Abstract

This study aims to determine the inequality of the provinces on Sumatra Island. In addition, this study also aims to find out about the effects of consumption, investment, government expenditure and net exports of inequality on the island of Sumatra. The data used in this study is secondary data obtained from the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics with a number of years of observation of 10 years and other secondary data obtained from relevant agencies. Data collection techniques in this study used time series techniques. The data analysis technique in this study is multiple linear regression analysis using the application E-views 8. The results of this study indicate that consumption, investment, government expenditure and net exports affect inequality on the island of Sumatra.
