Abstract

Kejadian stunting (balita pendek dan sangat pendek) masih menjadi masalah gizi yang dapat dimulai pada usia balita diseluruh dunia. Persepsi merupakan salah satu cara yang digunakan untuk memahami dan mengidentifikasi bagaimana mengarahkan strategi untuk perubahan perilaku dalam hal ini perilaku dalam pencegahan stunting.Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan persepsi dengan perilaku ibu dalam pencegahan stunting di wilayah Puskesmas 1 Ulu Kota Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan menggunakan jenis penelitian observasional dimana peneliti hanya melakukan observasi, tanpa memberikan intervensi pada variabel yang diteliti, dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel adalah sebagian dari keseluruhan obyek yang diteliti dan dianggap mewakili seluruh populasi (sampel adalah sebagian atau mewakili populasi yang di teliti) sebanyak 72 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan variabel persepsi kerentanan (p-0,503), persepsi manfaat (p-0,427), persepsi hambatan (p-0,951), dan isyarat bertindak (p-0,357). Ada hubungan persepsi keseriusan (p-0,007), kepercayaan diri (p-0,005) dengan perilaku ibu dalam pencegahan stunting. Perilaku ibu dalam pencegahan stunting dipengaruhi oleh persepsi keseriusan dan kepercayaan diri. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya yang ingin melakukan penelitin terkait hubungan persepsi dengan perilaku ibu dalam pencegahan stunting diharapkan dapat mengembangkan penelitian ini dengan menggunakan rancangan, metode serta analisis lain agar diperoleh hasil yang lebih sempurna tentang hubungan persepsi dengan perilaku ibu dalam pencegahan stutning. Selain itu dapat dilakukan wawancara mendalam untuk lebih menguatkan hasil penelitian.
