Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem caused by insufficient nutritional intake, in which the body condition is very short to exceed the SD-2 deficit below the median length or height of the population that is an international reference. Quality nutritional services can be achieved if the health center nutrition workers (TPG) have the ability and good skills in carrying out nutrition service program activities at the health center. This study aims to analyze the relationship between training and infrastructure and the skills of the Nutrition Workers (TPG) in determining the nutritional status of stunting in infants in the Lahat district health office. This research uses a quantitative approach with cross sectional design. The research sample was all nutrition implementers who served at the puskesmas in the Lahat District Health Office, totaling 33 people. Data analysis techniques are univariate and bivariate. The results showed no relationship between age variables (p-value: 0.880), education level (p-value: 0.508) and employment status (p-value: 0.474) with the skills of the nutrition executive in determining the nutritional status of stunting in infants. There is a correlation between the suitability of education (p-value: 0.017) and work period (p-value: 0.040) training (p-value: 0,000) and infrastructure (p-value: 0,000) with the skills of the nutrition executive in determining the nutritional status of stunting in toddlers. Can be concluded that the skills of nutrition implementers in determining the nutritional status of stunting in infants are influenced by the suitability of education, years of service, training and anthropometric infrastructure. Researcher's suggestion to the government in this case the Lahat District Health Office as a policy holder held a mapping of nutrition implementers who had never participated in toddlers growth monitoring training, then made plans for monitoring toddlers' growth training, recruited nutritionists and distributed them evenly across all puskesmas to assist implementation. nutrition program activities to the maximum as well as by conducting across sectors cooperation in the provision of anthropometric infrastructure facilities for infants
