Abstract

This thesis is entitled "The Development of the Baturaja Branch of the Islamic Student Association in the world of student movements at OKU in 2011-2015. The problem raised by the author is how the development of the Baturaja Branch of the Islamic Student Association (HMI) contributed to the world movement of students in OKU's Baturaja Regency and stimulated students to distribute their rights and obligations. In the dimensions of their obligations, the students gathered in the HMI were encouraged to study hard in order to absorb the spirit of student who is always struggling with his intellectual culture, while for the realm of movement as part of rights or character that cannot be separated from the unity between the academic side as a student and the movement as an effort to form organic intellectual beings. In the HMI branch of Baturaja culture, the routine of the activity was filled with studies, discussions and spiritual practices of Islam, parts of the HMI cadre pattern, and for the field of movement HMI members were trained to be sensitive to the reality of people's lives and to advocate the interests of the general public and voice opposition to all forms of oppression, despotic actions to repressive policies that silenced the aspirations of the government anti-criticism, since the entry of HMI in OKU district, specifically the city of Baturja, the enthusiasm and encouragement of students to organize increased because they were able to facilitate the development of self potential, and the world constellation Student affairs in Baturaja increasingly live its dynamics.
