Abstract

This research is motivated by increasing number of people and the volume of waste in Sukarami District which results in an imbalance of existing resources with natural conditions so that waste management activities have not been able to serve all the waste generated. The purpose of this study was to determine how the implementation of Waste Management Policy Implementation in Palembang City (Case in Sukarami District). This research uses descrpitive qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques used in this study used field observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The theory used to support this research is the theory of policy implementation from Edwards III. Consisting of four indicators, namely communication, resources, dispotition, and bureaucracy. This results showed that the Implementation of Waste Management in Palembang City (Case in Sukarami District) had not been implemented well. The communication has not been conveyed to the entire community of Sukarami District. Limited human resources and budgetary resources to overcome waste problems. Disposition related to supervision of officers in the field is going well. The bureaucracy structure is well coordinated, but several aspects of SOP have not been fulfilled in handling waste.
