Abstract

This study aims to determine the efforts of Lembaga Perlindungan Perempuan Mandiri (LPPM) in Banyuasin District in providing legal protection against women from sexual violence.This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, which becomes the social situation in this study is the Chairperson of LPPM and victims of violence as investigators, efforts to provide legal protection are the activities under study, and Banyuasin Regency is the place under study. Data collection is done by interview, observation and documentation. Based on the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded that there are two LPPM efforts in Banyuasin District in providing legal protection for women, the first being socialization, legal counseling, legal handling, and local government support, the second is the role of cadres and psychic guidance.
