Abstract

The titled of this research is "The development of the Rattan Woven crafts menat Perahu Dipo village, South Dempo Subdistrict, Pagar Alam City in 2001-2018: Materials in the course of the local history". The problem in this research was how development of the Rattan Woven crafts menat Perahu Dipo village, South Dempo Subdistrict, Pagar Alam City in 2001-2018. This research was done with the purpose of informing and explaining the development of the Rattan Woven crafts menat Perahu Dipo village, South Dempo Subdistrict, Pagar Alam City in 2001-2018. The methodology used in this research was the method of research history with the data through the study of the literature and the interviews of the craftsmanship, community leaders and various related parties. Meanwhile, the generally approaches used economic approaches, sociology anda nthropology. Based on the results of the study, then obtained that the Perahu Dipo village become to the central woven handbags of the rattan woven in the Pagar Alam city. Social life that occurred on the wisdom of the rattan woven raising, and the result of the proven rattan craft from 2001-2018 gradually increased.
