Abstract
Generators are used to generate electrical energy. At low-speed generators generally used permanent magnets with axial flux direction on the rotor and there are various of permanent magnet shape. For this research, it aims to examine the influence of permanent magnet shape rotor to get the value of output voltage. There are three permanent magnet shapes to be used: the Trapezoidal shape, the Rectangular shape, and the Annular shape.In addition to reviewing the shape of permanent magnets, another is to examine the gap between a stator and a permanent magnet with a distance of 4mm, 6mm, 8mm, and 10mm. The process for obtaining the voltage value is carried out with several stages, the first of which the design stage aims at designing from the overall model of the generator. The second stage is simulated, simulation is done to get the value of magnetic flux using Comsol Multiphysics software.The last step is to manually calculate the voltage value by using an existing formula. From the research results, there is a difference between the influence of magnetic flux value and the value of voltage when the area of permanent magnet as well as the distance of air gap and permanent magnet.
