Abstract

SGPP (Steam Gas Power Plant) as one of the suppliers of electrical energy as supporting equipment. One such equipment is an induction motor which is used as a pump. The pump used is the type D-91056 ERLAGEN. A simple method to find out the capability of an induction motor to work is by simulating the Matlab (Matrix Laboratory). By reviewing the speed, electromagnetic torque, stator current and rotor current the simulation results show that the motor speed is below the average speed, the motor can be loaded 50% of the average torque value and above 50% of the average torque value. Transfer pump at Indralaya SGPP is loaded with 68.5% of average torque. At the time of loss in one phase the motor operates under abnormal conditions, while at the time of two phase voltage loss the motor can not operate. And motor analysis using a stationary reference frame shows the motor operates after 0.8 seconds of simulation time with the transformation voltage of abc to qd0 reaching above 320 volts, the transformation current of qd0 to abc is in the range 0 – 100 Amperes, and the electromagnetic torque is close to 100 Nm.
