Abstract
This study aimed to determine the effect of the Auditory Intellectually Repetition learning model assisted by animation media on students' conceptual understanding of respiratory system material. The research method used was Quasi Experimental with the research design form Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Determination of the study sample used Purposive Sampling technique. The collecting data of this research used multiple choices question test with 5 choices answer. The analysis research data with Shapiro-Wilk and continue with Levene and Independent-sample T test. The gain values of the control and experimental classes are sequentially based on the indicators of understanding concepts of the research were interpreting (29.63 and 44.76), exemplifying (26.39 and 37.14), classifying (26.39 and 35.75), summarizing (22, 23 and 42.86), inferring (30.55 and 35.71), comparing (25 and 34.28), and explaining (24.07 and 35.24). The average value of the control class gain index is 0.47 while the experimental class is 0.7 which is in the medium category. Based on the results it can be concluded the AIR model assisted by animation media had a significant effect on students' conceptual understanding of respiratory system material.
