Abstract

Along with the increase of vehicles in the University of Sriwijaya environment, causing overcrowding in the available parking area, making it difficult for parking lot users and parking attendants in managing the vehicle. Therefore, applications are needed that can help regulate the parking area of vehicles both two-wheeled vehicles and four wheels. This is what underlies the emergence of the idea of researchers to build parking system applications where in addition to helping regulate parking spaces can also be a medium of information to students in using parking facilities and can monitor the entry and exit of vehicles at Palembang Sriwijaya University. Making this parking system application using the Rapid Application Development method. The parking application that has been designed is called 'ParQR' where this application uses a QR Code to recognize the vehicle id. In this parking application system, parking slots are available to find out whether parking in each faculty is still available or not. After testing using Blackbox Testing which shows the results that the application 'ParQR' is 100% feasible to be applied to the parking system of the Sriwijaya University Palembang Campus and the results of the questionnaire testing of several respondents within the Sriwijaya University Palembang Campus shows the percentage of 83.9% of 31 respondents stated that this application can be a medium for parking lot information.
