Abstract
Soybean is one of the basic food needs for the Indonesian people who are currently constrained by inadequate soybean needs so that imports are carried out with quite large numbers. The lack of domestic soybean production is partly due to the use of low quality seeds which results in the seeds being stored for too long. The purpose of this study was to obtain the best osmoconditioning treatment for soybean seed invigoration. The study was conducted at the Plant Seed Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir. Conducted from October to November 2019. The design used was the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method, consisting of 8 treatments and 4 replications. The results of this study showed that the treatment of young coconut water concentration of 20% gave the best results on the tetrazolium test variables, germination percentage, hypocotyl length, radicle length, vigor index, seed growth rate and normal germination dry weight.
