Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the effect of boiler ash application as nutrient source to growth and yield of oil palm crop (Elais guineensis Jacq.) in dry land. The research was conducted in oil palm plantation of Agricultural Faculty of Sriwijaya University, Indralaya from May 2017 until November 2017. This research used Randomized Block Design (RBD,) with 7 treatments and 5 groups. Each treatment unit consists of 2 plants, so there are 70 palm oil trees. Boiler ash fertilizer line for each oil palm is 22 kg (100%). Treatment design used are without treatment Q0 = Control (without Fertilizer and withoutAsh Boiler), Q1 = N + P = (Urea 1.25 kg: SP-36 0.8 kg,) Q2 = 25% Ash Boiler + N + P = (5.5 kg Ash Boiler: Urea 1.25 kg: SP-36 0.8 kg), Q3 = 50% Ash Boiler + N + P = (11 kg Ash Boiler: Urea 1.25 kg: SP -36 0.8 kg), Q4 = 75% Ash Boiler + N + P = (16.5 kg Ash Boiler: Urea 1.25 kg: SP-36 0.8 kg), Q5 = 100% Ash Boiler + N + P = (22 kg Ash Boiler: Urea 1.25 kg: SP-36 0.8 kg), Q6 = K + N + P = (KCl 1 kg: Urea 1.25 kg: SP-36 0.8 kg ). Based on the variance test, the combination of N, P and ash boiler did not significantly influence the increase of male flowers and the number of fresh fruit bunches and significantly increase the amount of midrib, the amount of femaleflowers, and soil pH. End of study Based on further contrast orthagonal test (MOK) between Q0 vs Q1 ratio of control with treatment of P, N, significantly different on soil pH, Q0 vs (Q2-Q5) control ratio with ash group treatment, N, P, was significantly different in the number of female flowers, and the pH of the soil, Q0 vs Q6 compared with the control and treatment of N, P, K were significantly different in the number of midrib, the female flower, and the soil pH, Q1 vs (Q2-Q5) P, with the ash group treatment, N, P was significantly different in the number of midrib, the number of female flowers, and the soil pH, Q1 vs Q6 of the treatment ratio N, P, and N, P, K treatment were significantly different in the number of midrib, female flowers, and soil pH. The results show that the 11 kilogram / plant boiler ash can increase the growth and yield of oil palm crops Keywords: Ash Boiler, Oil Palm, Urea, KCl, K2O
