Abstract

This research is aims to know about influence of scientific approachment toward the conceptual understanding of students in the learning material about fungi in class X. The research method used is One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this research was all class X IPA of senir high school no 1 indralaya which its sample was the class X IPA 1. The sample taking in this research used simple random sampling technique. The collecting data technique used test, observation sheet and questionnaire. The result of this researched indicated that there was the increasing of the students proved by the result of pretest and posttest. The highest category was the one which explained by the score n-gain 1 (high) and the lowest category was the one wich compared by the score n-gain 0,29 (low). The significance of conceptual understanding of students was 0,000<0,05 this showed that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. In conclusion the scientific approachment influence significantly toward the conceptual understanding of students in the learning material about fungi of class X senior high school no 1 Indralaya.
