Abstract
A good and safe piping system design is highly recommended to ensure the smooth running of the process and to ensure the useful life of the piping system in accordance with the design cycle. Therefore, an analysis is needed to determine the stress distribution and displacement that occur due to loading on the pipeline system PG-1002-24”-D6-H115 PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang with using CAESAR II program. The analysis was performed in a static condition based on three types of loading, namely sustain load, operation load, and expansion load. The standard used in the calculation is based on the ASME / ANSI B31.3 process piping design standard. From the analysis that has been done, the pipeline system PG-1002-2 "D6-H115 can be said to be safe and in accordance with the standard design process piping, ASME B31.3. Because based on the three types of loading that have been done, the stress value obtained in each loading does not exceed the yield strength of the material. Based on sustained loading, the maximum code stress is 94312.6 kPa at node 140. Based on the loading when the system is operating, the maximum operating stress is 166660.6 kPa at node 110. And based on expansion loading, the maximum code stress at 158872.9 kPa at node 110.
