Abstract

This study aims to produce a game of ladder snake based on valid and practical wild animal subtheme for group B children in kindergarten. This study uses the Rowntree model with three stages namely (planning, development and evaluation) and Tessmer formative evaluation with stages of self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation and small group evaluation. Data analysis techniques are walkthrough, observation and interview. The results showed that the material validity was 93.7% and the media / design validity was 98.4%, the average product validity was 96% with a very valid category. It is said to be very valid because of the suitability of the product with the material, the suitability of the material with the development of children aged 5-6 years, the suitability of the display and picture, the safety of the game and color. The one to one evaluation stage involved 3 children with 90% results and the small group evaluation phase involved 9 children with 93% results from both of them obtained an average of 92% with a very practical category. It is said to be very practical because it is in accordance with indicators of the level of disability of the child that is able to use the right and left hand in various activities, paying attention to the teacher explaining the rules of the game, the child's interest in the media, easy to use and equipped with clear instructions. Thus it can be concluded that the Development of the Snake Ladder Game Based on Audio of the Wild Animal Subthema for Group B Children in Kindergarten is declared valid and practical, and is suitable for use as a learning medium for group B children.
