Abstract
This research aims to describe the learning independence of college students of Economics Education Study Program of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Sriwijaya University of 2019 academic year. This research is qualitative descriptive by using four data collecting techniques, which is questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentations. Obtained data were analyzed with data analysing techniques, which is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion phase. Based on the results, it states that the learning independence of 2019 academic year college students are in the category of independent with the percentage of 81,12 %. The results of each indicator after analyzed shows that 38,1 % or 16 college students are categorized as highly independent, 30,95 % or 13 college students are categorized as independent, and 30,95 % or 13 college students are categorized as quite independent. Based on the this research’s results it is hoped that college students be more independent so that they can do things without other people’s help. Keyword : learning independence, college students
