Abstract

Every Tarsier species shows different vocalization behavior. Cephalopachus bancanus bancanus is one of the Tarsier species that listed as Endangered by IUCN. The aim of this research is to determine vocalitazion behavior of C. bancanus ssp. bancanus. The research was conducted on February 2020 in Petaling village Bangka Regency. The data that collected was vocal record and behavior when vocalizing from C. bancanus bancanus. The vocal record data was analyzed by Raven pro 1.6.1. Bioacoustic software and vocalization behavior was descriptive explained. Result of the research found 11 calls type of C. bancanus bancanus that are Adult whistle, Infant whistle, Infant squeak, Mother whistle, Alarm whistle, Alarm Call, Agonistic scream, Cheep, Distress call, and Hysterises, but no duet call was recorded. Vocalization peak activity occured at 05.00 – 06.00 am. All calls type can be heard by human (audiosonik), but some calls had peak frequency at ultrasonic (>20 kHz). The Conclusion of this research showed there are 11 calls type of C. bancanus bancanus that can be heard by human and vocalization peak activity occured at 05.00 – 06.00 am.
