Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis miskonsepsi siswa SMAN 10 Palembang pada materi dinamika rotasi dan keseimbangan benda tegar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada 35 siswa kelas XI IPA 4. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan instrumen Rotational and Rolling Motion Conceptual Survey (RRMCS) berupa soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 30 butir soal dengan alasan terbuka. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah Certainty of Response Index (CRI) termodifikasi dengan skala (0-5). Diperoleh rata-rata pemahaman konsep siswa SMAN 10 Palembang dengan kategori paham konsep 1,70%, paham konsep tetapi tidak yakin 1,90%, mengalami miskonsepsi 58,30% dan 38,10% siswa yang tidak paham konsep. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dapat diidentifikasi bahwa siswa SMAN 10 Palembang mengalami miskonsepsi pada seluruh konsep yang diujikan yaitu momen inersia 54,30%, energi kinetik rotasi 57,10%, kecepatan sudut 60,0%, percepatan sudut 62,90%, momen gaya 58,90%, gerak menggelinding (gerak relatif) 51,40%, gerak menggelinding (peran gesekan dan parameter lainnya) 65,70% dan kubus bergeser/jatuh pada bidang miring 55,70%. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi tentang miskonsepsi dinamika rotasi dan keseimbangan benda tegar yang terjadi pada siswa SMAN 10 Palembang.
