Abstract

DAMIU has become an alternative for residents in Subdistrict of Indralaya Utara to fulfillment the drinking water needs. Based on data from the population with sustainable access to quality (decent) drinking water in 2017, the population in Subdistrict of Indralaya Utara who have access to drinking water is only 55.18%. The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality of refill drinking water produced by refill drinking water depots in Subdistrict of Indralaya Utara Ogan Ilir Regency in 2018. The methods of this research is a qualitative with descriptive method and performed on 4 refill drinking water depots in in Subdistrict of Indralaya Utara. Methods of data collection through observation, in-depth interviews, and laboratory examination. Based on the research that has been done, it is known that the sanitation conditions at depot A, depot B, depot C, and depot D meet the requirements with a range of 75-83. Laboratory results show that the parameters of odor, taste, color, turbidity, TDS, E.coli, iron, hardness, chloride, and manganese are qualify to consumption by community, but all samples have a pH value below the specified quality standard, that is depot A (3.86), depot B (6.37), depot C (6.10), and depot D (6.05), this is not accordance with Permenkes RI No. 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010. It can be concluded that the condition of DAMIU sanitation and the quality of drinking water refill both physically, microbiologically and chemically all meet the requirements except the pH parameters that do not meet the requirements. Suggestions for depot owners to pay more attention to replacing filters regularly so that the pH value remains stable.
