Abstract

The formulation of the problem from this research is the influence of AIR learning model (Auditory, Intellectually and Repetition)about ability to write negotiation texts in class x of senior high school 19 Palembang. This research aims to know about the presence or absene of the influence of AIR learning model (Auditory, Intellectually and Repetition)about ability to write negotiation texts in class x of senior high school 19 Palembang. The method of this research uses quasi-experimental methods (Quasi Experimental Research). The sample consisted of two classes, they are X Science 5 consist of 36 students as an experimental class with the AIR learning model (Auditory, Intellectually and Repetition), and X Science 3 consists of 36 students as a control class by direct instruction of the AIR learning models (Direct Instruction). The technique of collecting data uses test techniques and the techniques of processing data uses the t-calculation program through the SPSS 20. Program results research shows the differences of the test results between the experimental class and class control. The average pretest value of the experimental class was 56,39 and the average pretest value of experimental control class 57,44. The mean score of the experimental class posttest was 87,81 and the mean score of the control class was 79,97. From the results of this research data, shows in the experimental class is higher in scoring that is equal to 31,42 compared to control class that is equal to 22,53. The t-test results show tcount> t table=8,321>table (1,994) with Df= (70) at a 95% success rate (α = 0,025). This results shows that experimental class has the increasing of the score, so it can be enlarged that the AIR learning model (Auditory, Intellectually and Repetition) on the ability to write negotiating texts influences class X of Senior High School 19 Palembang.
