Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of PBL models (project based learning) on the ability to write text reports on the results of observations of class X SMAN 2 of Palembang. This study uses a quasi-experimental method. The study sample consisted of two classes, namely class X MIA 1 as an experimental class which amounted to 34 students with treatment using PBL (project based learning) model and class X MIA 3 as a control class totaling 34 students with treatment using conventional models. Data collection techniques using test technique. Processing data using t-test calculations through the SPSS 24 program. The results showed that there were differences in test results between the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class gets an initial test score of 60.85 and a control class 61.26. The average score of the experimental class final test was 81.26 and the control class was 71.26. From the results of the t-test calculation which proves that tcount> t table = 3.914> 1997 (df66) at the 95% success rate (α = 0.025). This shows that the PBL model (project based learning) has an effect on the ability to write the text of the report on the results of observation of class X SMAN 2 of Palembang.
