Abstract

This aim of the study is determine whether the religiosity has a role in dating decision-making among adolescents. The study hypothesis is there is a role of religiosity toward dating decision-making among adolescents. This study used 150 muslim teenagers who are dating in South Sumatera as participants, and 50 muslim teenagers as the trial participants. The sampling technique was simple random sampling. The research used two scales as a measuring instrument, which are dating decision-making scale and religiosity scale that refer to Janis and Mann (1977) decision-making aspect and dimension of religiosity Ancok and Suroso (2011). Data analysis used be simple regression. The result of simple regression shows R = 0,662 and p = 0,000 (p<0,05). This means that religiosity has a significant role toward dating decision-making. The effective contribution of R Square = 0,442, which means that the contribution of religiosity in dating decision-making was 44,2%. In other word, the hypothesis of the study is accepted.
