Abstract

In industrial progress in the construction sector, there are many tools that can simplify work and save time, in construction work has a high risk of work accidents because it is related to heavy equipment. Tools to make it easier to move a load from one place to another in industry, namely the overhead crane. Overhead crane consists of several parts, namely the girder or H beam that we will test. In conducting research using the Autodesk Inventor 2016 software it is designed to simplify calculations, the materials used in ASTM A514, the load to be moved is 58800 N. Result of the minimum stress value is 0.618264 N / mm2 and maximum is 121.144 N / mm2, minimum strain is 3.98884x10-6 mm / mm while the maximum stress is 0.000783323 mm / mm, minimum displacement of 0 mm and a maximum of 4.37195 mm and the last is the value of the safeti factor that occurs at 1.8973 Keywords: Overhead Crane, Girder, Stress, Strain
