Abstract

Electric power is a very vital thing to run every decent life, but due to the need for electricity that is very large and sustainable, the resources available in nature are running low. Electric power is one of the energy that is needed from a noble household scale until the industry, the industry sector itself consumes around 54% of the energy produced in the world where most use non-renewable resources. The oil and gas industry is one of the industries that mostly uses gas power plants as the main source of electrical energy needs in the production process. The author here took the initiative to conduct research on the Evaluation of Electric Power Usage in Pump Motor Production Parts in the Pertamina Refinery Unit Iii Plaju Auxiliary Utility Unit. In this case the authors conducted a study in the unit of PT Pertamina Refinery Unit III Plaju. This study aims to determine the amount of electrical power needed and determine the efficiency of the electrical equipment used. By calculating the electrical energy required from 31 motors that operate when the Auxiliary unit is operating normally which requires 6600 KW to support operations and has an efficiency value of 380 V for electric motors 48202 volts and 287329383% for electric motors 27829 volts.
