Abstract

Isu merupakan sebuah kejadian atau peristiwa baik internal maupun eksternal dalam sebuah organisasi yang jika berlanjutakan mempunyai efek signifikan, terlebih lagi jika isu tersebut adalah isu yang negatif. Isu negatif merupakan isu yang potensial untuk menjadi pemberitaan di media, sehingga hal tersebut dapat merusak citra perusahaan. Maka dari itu Humas PT Kereta Api Indonesia Divisi Regional III Palembang memiliki target untuk mendapatkan berita negatif di media sebanyak 10% pertahun. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui manajemen isu oleh Humas PT KeretaApi Indonesia Divisi Regional III Palembang dalam mengantisipasi berita negatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Manajemen Isu menurut Chase dan Jones dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif yang mengumpulkan data dengan melakukan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menggambarkan bahwa manajemen isu yang dilakukan memiliki 5 tahapan sesuai dengan teori, yaitu identifikasi isu, analisis isu, pilihan strategi, pelaksanaan program, dan evaluasi. Namun dalam tahap evaluasi, pihak PT KeretaApi Indonesia Divisi Regional III Palembang belum melakukannya secara maksimal.
