Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of religiosity and aggressiveness. The method used in this research is associative quantitative. Samples were taken based on proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Respondent in this study are 92 students of SMAN 9 Palembang. the process of collecting data in this study used by questionnaire and observation. The scale used is Likert scale which produces an ordinal scale then converted to an interval scale using the Successive Interval Method (MSI). This study uses the concept of religiosity from Glock and Stark and Buss and Perry's idea of aggressiveness. The results of the analysis used by the Product Moment correlation test (rxy) at -0.662 > 0.205. There was a negative and significant influence between religiosity and aggressiveness of adolescents. The magnitude of effect tested through the coefficient of determination is 39.3%, the remaining 61,7 % influenced by other factors outside of research.
