Abstract

Generation sector of National Electricity Company of Tarahan is one of Generation sectors in South Sumatra that has operation unit 3 and 4 with capacity 2x 100 MW. The Steam Electricity Power Plant is located in Rangai Tri Tunggal village,subdistrict of Katibung,district of Lampung, Lampung Province. Generation of National Electricity Company of Tarahan has very big fire risk because the main materials that used are flammable and explosive just like coals and diesel fuel. The general purpose of this research to analyze implementation of fire safety management in Generation sector of National Electricity Company of Tarahan. The method in this research used analytic descriptive research which has been done with field observation, interview and document research. This research compared the element of fire safety management with Ministerial Decree PU No. 11/KTPS/2000, Permenaker No. 04/MEN/1980 and Indonesian Standard. Most of elements of fire safety management in Generation sector of National Electricity Company of Tarahan has complied the standard. The other unqulified elements were fire management organization and sprinkler in administration’s building. Qualified fire protection system are APAR, the upright and hidran system, alarm and fire detection, Supply of the Emergency, safety system and not all of the sprinkler. Therefore, fixing the fire management organization, make a one private management about fire man in every building in Generation sector of National Electricity Coampany of Tarahan also maintaining tools of fire protection system were needed.
