Abstract

Twitter merupakan salah satu media sosial bertukar informasi berbasis pesan teks untuk mencurahkan is hati dan berisi informasi tentang sikap serta keadaan emosi seseorang. Komunikasi berbasis teks tidak dapat memperlihatkan emosi seseorang secara langsung sehingga perlu dilakukan pengklasifikasian. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan klasifikasi emosi senang dan sedih menggunakan metode Backpropagation dan Support Vector Machine serta membandingkan hasil akurasi. Tahapan text preprocessing yang digunakan yaitu case folding, tokenization, stopword removal dan stemming serta pembobotan kata dengan TF-IDF. Hasil perbandingan akurasi menunjukkan bahwa Support Vector Machine memiliki performa yang lebih baik dengan hasil akurasi sebesar 81% daripada Backpropagation hanya mendapatkan hasil akurasi sebesar 53%.
