Abstract
Pencemaran udara adalah dimana kualitas udara menjadi rusak dan terkontaminasi oleh zat zat berbahaya seperti karbon monoksida(CO). Pencemaran udara dalam ruangan dapat sangat berbahaya karena sumbernya berdekatan dengan manusia secara langsung, sumber karbon monoksida(CO) yang terdapat didalam ruangan salah satunya adalah asap rokok. Solusi pengurangan pencemaran udara dalam ruangan adalah dengan memanfaatkan tanaman Sanseviera yang mempunyai kemampuan menyerap gas polutan. Penelitian ini mengunakan sistem pendeteksi efek tanaman Sanseviera berbasis Internet Of Things (IOT) yang menggunakan sensor MQ-7 untuk mendeteksi gas karbon monoksida dari asap rokok, dan mengetahui persentasi penyerapan tanaman Sanseviera didalam ruangan, yang dapat di-monitoring melaui web Thingspeak.
