Abstract

SUMMARY This research is to analyze work ethos of regional library employees in Palembang, South Sumatera. This research uses the concept of work ethic according to Simanjuntak. The method used in this research is qualitative research method. Descriptive qualitative research design. The location of this research is located in the Regional Library in Palembang, South Sumatera. Informant determination by purposive. The unit of analysis used is the organization. Data collection techniques used are getting in, gatting along, gitting out. In this study the research strategy used case study. Inspection techniques and data validity used are triangulation of source and triangulation of data. Data analysis technique is the process of analysis before the data reduction, data presentation and examination of conclusions or verification. In brief, the results of this study is to know how the form of library service employees with the concept of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and real, while the second result is to know what lies behind the formation of work ethic of employees by applying the work ethos concept of life needs, & place of career development, self-actualization, worship, call and trust.
