Abstract

Pra rancangan pabrik pembuatan Dioctyl Terephthalate dengan kapasitas produksi 60.000 ton/tahun ini direncanakan berdiri pada tahun 2025 di Kawasan Industri Krakatau, Cilegon, Provinsi Banten dengan perkiraan luas area sebesar 2,5 Ha. Proses pembuatan Dioctyl Terephthalate ini mengacu pada US Patent No. 2020/0010039 A1 dan US Patent No. 2015/0307435 A1 dengan proses esterifikasi Asam Tereftalat menggunakan katalis Asam Sulfat di dalam continuous stirred tank reactor yang beroperasi pada temperatur 150oC dan tekanan 1 atm. Reaksi yang terjadi adalah sebagai berikut: C8H6O4 + 2C8H18O C24H38O4 + 2H2O Asam Tereftalat 2 Etil Heksanol Dioctyl Terephthalate Air Perusahaan berbentuk Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan sistem organisasi Line dan Staff, dipimpin oleh seorang Direktur dengan total karyawan 172 orang. Berdasarkan hasil analisa ekonomi, pabrik Dioctyl Terephthalate ini layak untuk didirikan karena telah memenuhi berbagai macam persyaratan parameter ekonomi, yaitu sebagai berikut: • Biaya Investasi = US$ 47.362.696,05 • Hasil penjualan per tahun = US$ 84.029.951,24 • Biaya produksi per tahun = US$ 44.900.230,80 • Annual Cash Flow = US$ 31.050.649,01 • Pay Out time = 1,46 Tahun • Rate of return on investment = 57,83% • Discounted Cash Flow –ROR = 65,30% • Break Even Point = 28,52% • Service Life = 11 tahun Kata Kunci: Dioctyl Terephthalate, Esterifikasi, CSTR, Perseroan Terbatas.
