Abstract
Pegagan duck has the potential to produce eggs and meat. The obstacle currently faced is that the productivity produced has not been maximized by one of the factors that influence it, namely digestibility. Efforts are made to overcome this, namely by adding probiotics. This study aims to determine the effect of giving probiotics from isolate silage hymenachne acutigluma grass to the digestibility nutrition of pegagan duck. This research was conducted from May to September 2018 in the Experimental Cage, Animal Nutrition and Food Laboratory, Fisheries Product Technology Laboratory and Microbiology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The study used 5 treatments and 4 replications. Each replication consisted of 3 Pegagan ducks aged 6 months. The number of Pegagan ducks in this study was 60, the rations used were basal rations consisting of maize, bran, concentrate, noodles, premix, methionine, lysine. Treatment consists of P0 (without probiotics), P1 (Probiotics 106 cfu / ml), P2 (Probiotics 107 cfu / ml), P3 (Probiotics 108 cfu / ml), P4 (Probiotics 109 cfu / ml). The variables observed were dry matter digestibility, organic matter digestibility and crude fiber digestibility. The results showed that probiotic administration of copper grass silage isolates was able to increase dry matter digestibility, organic matter digestibility and crude fiber digestibility. The results of this study can be concluded that the administration of probiotics with a concentration of 106 - 109 cfu / ml in phase layer pegagan duck can improve dry matter digestibility, organic matter digestibility and crude fiber digestibility.
