Abstract

This study is entitled "Strategy for Developing Swamp Tourism Potential in Gasing Village, Banyuasin Regency". The design of this study uses descriptive qualitative. The purpose of this research is to study, discuss and analyze the development and development of tourism potential in the Gasing Village, Banyuasin Regency as one of the districts in South Sumatra Province that has a lot of tourism potential that must be increased and developed. Sources of data obtained through primary data and secondary data with data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. This study uses the SWOT concept (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) from Freddy Rangkuti (2013). The results of this study are the inhibiting factors in developing a strategy to develop swamp tourism potential is improving the quality of infrastructure, the quality of existing human resources around tourist attractions, and geographical conditions. Then the strategies undertaken in developing tourism potential are infrastructure and infrastructure development, human resource development, and tourism promotion. Inhibiting factors and strategies in developing tourism potential developed using the SWOT concept. Keywords: Strategy, Tourism Potential, SWOT.
