Abstract
PT Timah Tbk merupakan salah satu perusahaan besar yang menjadi produsen dan pengekspor timah terbesar kedua di dunia. Salah satunya di darat adalah Tambang Besar (TB), selain dilakukan penambangan juga dilakukan proses pencucian dan pengeringan bijih timah. Permasalahan pada TB Pemali adalah rendahnya recovery sebesar 93,93% yang dikarenakan berkurangnya jumlah air underwater yang masuk ke jig. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis penyebab-penyebab yang menyebabkan berkurangnya air underwater yang masuk ke jig. Analisis ini dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan yang berkaitan dengan penyebab berkurangnya air underwater yang mempengaruhi nilai recovery. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan diketahui kebutuhan underwater pan american jig sebesar 1.428,295 m3/jam dan jig clean-up adalah 267,810 m3/jam, sedangkan hasil perhitungan berdasarkan data aktual debit underwater yang mengalir pada jig adalah 899,599 m3/jam untuk jig primer & 438,846 m3/jam untuk jig clean-up. Diameter spigot yang terpasang pada jig di Tambang Besar Pemali sudah mengalami keausan sehingga terjadi pengurangan debit underwater yang keluar melalui spigot sebesar 106,56 m3/jam & 7,19 m3/jam untuk jig primer & clean-up. Peningkatan recovery pada jig dapat dilakukan dengan mengatasi permasalahan yang ada pada pompa underwater dan pemeriksaan secara rutin terhadap distribusi pembagian pipa underwater ke jig serta penggantian spigot 3 bulan sekali untuk menghindari penambahan debit underwater. Kata Kunci : Jig, Underwater, Recovery PT Timah Tbk is one of the major producer and second largest tin exporter in the world. One of the onshore mining site is at Tambang Besar (TB) Pemali. At TB Pemali, aside from mining, tin ore washing and drying processes are also carried out. TB Pemali obtained a low recovery of 93.93% due to the reduced amount of underwater entering the jig. The purpose of this study is to analyze the causes of decreased by underwater entering the jig. This analysis is carried out by collecting primary and secondary data relating to the causes of the reduction of underwater which affects tin ore recovery. Based on research conducted know, the needs of underwater is 1,428,295 m3/hour and are 267,810 m3/hour for primary and clean-ips jigs, while the results of calculations based on actual data in the underwater discharge flowing in jigs is 899,599 m3/hour for primary jig & 438,846 m3/hour for clean-up jigs. The spigot rubber diameter mounted on the jig has been subjected worn out, so that underwater debits are reduced through the spigot by 106.56 m3/hour for primary jig & increased 7.19 m3/hour for clean-up jigs. Recovery increasing in the jig can be done by overcoming the problems that exist in the underwater pump and regular checks on the distribution of underwater pipes to the jigs and spigot replacement every 3 months to avoid adding underwater.
