Abstract
Mining drainage is one of the important activities in the mining business. The purpose of channeling is to control water entering the mining area so that the mining process is not disturbed. The data used to analyze the rainfall is rainfall data in the study area in 2009-2018. The method used to calculate the planned rainfall and rain intensity is the Gumbell and Mononobe method, while the rational method is used to calculate the runoff discharge. From the calculation of the planned rainfall with a ten-year return period of 77.8 mm / day with a rain intensity of 17mm / hour and the total water flow that enters the mining area of 17961 m3 / day, so that a sump dimension with a length and surface width is required. 44 meters with a base length and width of 33 meters and a depth of 7 meters. The number of pumps to be used is 3 units of centrifugal pumps, namely 1 KSB pump unit and 2 Selwood pump units with a working hour of 15 hours per day. The pipes used are High Density Polyethylene pipes with a diameter of 8 inches. The number of pipes used was 105 rods. The dimensions of the channel to be used are trapezoidal with the outer side length of the channel (a) 1.27 meters, the channel base width (b) 1.26 meters, the surface width (B) 2.53 meters with a depth of 1.1 meters. The mud sedimentation pond will be made of 5 compartments with a length of 50 meters, a width of 14 meters and a depth of 4 meters. Key words: Rainfall, Sump, Pumping, Open channel, Settling pond
