Abstract

PT Buana Eltra is a company engaged in coal mining services sector that located in Pengandonan Sub-district, Ogan Komering Ulu District, South Sumatera Province. Company owned mining license with area 1.199 hectare. PT Buana Eltra applies a surface mining system with open pit method using combination of digging equipment and hauling equipment. One of the responsibilities for mining license handler is reclamation. One of steps of reclamation is dumping on former mining area before planting. On dumping process, company using digging equipment excavator Komatsu PC 400 with productivity 275,4585 LCM/hour. Digging equipment combined with hauling equipment Dump truck Scania P380 with productivity 63,338 LCM/hour. Besides of digging and hauling equipment, in this process also needed an equipment to help flattening ex-mining area with productivity 213,1301 LCM/hour. Material’s volume that need to be dumped on former mining area are 1.406.250 LCM. With effective working hour in a year 3.490 hours/year, then target volume material to transport in an hour is 402,937 LCM/jam. Based on those productivity and compared with available hour in a year, stockpiling activities needs 2 units excavator and 7 units dump truck, also need 2 units of bulldozer (support equipment).
