Abstract

Mangrove is a vegetation that grow and develop in a muddy and sandy ground, can be found along the beach or river estuary. Area around Solok Buntu river SNP had been destroyed because of land coversion to fish bound. This research intended for knowing structure and composition of mangrove vegetation covering value index (NP) and diversity index of mangrove. This research was held in january to july 2020. Data intake stucture and composition of mangrove vegetation are done with transect method and also environmental parameter was done. Mangrove in Solok Buntu river area SNP consist of 11 mangrove species that are A. alba, A. marina, A. officinalis, B. parviflora, C. decandra, R. apiculata., A. ilicifolius, A. speciosum N. fruticans, X. granatum dan E. agallocha. Important value index on tree stage and seedlings is dominated by R. apiculata with NP is 89.72% and 53.85%. Sapling stage is dominated by B. parviflora with NP 81.13%. Diversity index of mangrove vegetation in Solok Buntu river area SNP by tree stage is 1,41; sapling stage is 1.54 and seedling is 1.88. Based on the values, diversity index of mangrove in Solok Buntu rive area SNP is classified as moderate.
