Abstract

This study is entitled "Analysis of Solid Waste Management in Jakabaring Sport City in Creating Smart and Green Areas" against the background of the still large amount of solid waste scattered in the Jakabaring Sport City area complained of by the area manager and visitors. Jakabaring Sport City Limited Liability Company was established on November 28, 2017 based on South Sumatra Province Regulation Number 8 Year 2017 dated June 12, 2017 About Establishment Jakabaring Sport City Limited Liability Company to manage regional assets owned by the Government of South Sumatra Province in the form Jakabaring Sport City area located on Jalan H. A.Bastari Jakabaring, Palembang. The purpose of this study was to determine the management of solid waste in Jakabaring Sport City in realizing smart and green areas. The theory used is the management theory according to John F. Mee with four dimensions, namely the dimensions of Planning, Organizing, Motivating, and Controlling. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with triangulation data collection techniques, namely observation, documentation, and interviews. The results showed that solid waste management in Jakabaring Sport City in realizing smart and green areas as a whole was good but not optimal.
