Abstract

This article examines "The Meaning of Da'wah Through Instagram in Youth in Tanjung Batu District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province". The purpose of this study was to find out and analyze the meaning of da'wah through instagram in youth in Tanjung Batu District, Ogan ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative research method, while the number of informants in this study were 9 informants. Data collection techniques carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. This study used the Phenomenology theory of Alfred Schutz to uncover meaning. The results of the study found that the meaning of da'wah through Instagram in youth in Tanjung Batu District was first, as a means of enhancing the teachings of Islam that made it easier for youth to seek knowledge through social media which was a trend among young people namely Instagram. Second, as a means of youth's existence by utilizing the contents of the Da'wah account then posted back to his personal account which aims to only want to appear on Instagram, emotional release in subtle form, and describe the condition of youth. Third, as a means to get good judgment from others who take advantage of the influence of Islamic development so that young people take advantage of the da'wah conten for posting personal youth Instagram accounts.
