Abstract

Pabrik pembuatan metil merkaptan dari karbon monoksida, hidrogen, dan hidrogen sulfida dengan kapasitas 46.000 ton/tahun direncanakan berdiri pada tahun 2025 di Desa Bantawaru, Gantar, Kabupaten Indramayu, Jawa Barat yang diperkirakan memiliki luas area sebesar 4,6 Ha. Proses pembuatan metil merkaptan dengan menggunakan reaktor jenis Fixed Bed Multitubular dengan katalis Potassium Molybdate supported on Zirconia. (K2MoO4.ZrO2). Kondisi operasi reaktor adalah 320oC dan tekanan 10 bar. Reaksi yang terjadi pada reaktor adalah sebagai berikut: CO(g) + 2 H2(g) + H2S(g)  CH3SH(g) + H2O(g) (Karbon Monoksida) (Hidrogen) (Hidrogen Sulfida) (Metil Merkaptan) (Air) Perusahaan berbentuk Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan sistem organisasi Line and Staff, dipimpin oleh Direktur dengan total karyawan 126 orang. Berdasarkan hasil analisa ekonomi, pabrik Metil Merkaptan ini layak untuk didirikan karena telah memenuhi berbaga macam persyaratan parameter ekonomi, yaitu sebagai berikut: • Hasil penjualan per tahun = US $ 117,926,725.56 • Biaya produksi per tahun = US $ 67.947.592,65 • Annual Cash Flow = US $ 51.675.712,96 • Pay Out Time = 1,7 tahun • Rate of Return on Investment = 55,46 % • Break Event Point (BEP) = 34 % • Service Life = 11 tahun Kata Kunci: Metil Merkaptan, Fix Bed Multitubular, Perseroan Terbatas
