Abstract

PT Bukit Asam, Tbk. do their mining activity in various pits at the Bangko Barat site, one of them is pit 3 Timur, where the stripping of the overburden managed by the company itself. In the stripping process at pit 3 Timur Bangko Barat, first they do land clearing activities to clear the vegetation on the surface using bulldozer Komatsu D375A for land clearing activities. Continued with top soil removal with conventional method using digging and hauling tool. After the overburden is exposed, drilling and blasting is implimented to facilitate the work of the digging tool. Drilling was carried out by a Sandvik D245S followed by blasting using ANFO type explosive . After blasting, overburden is digged using a digging tool and hauled with hauling tool to disposal area. Earth removal uses conventional mining method with a digging and hauling tool, the Komatsu PC 3000E-6 excavator shovel and the Belaz 75135 Rigid Truck used for both top soil and overburden. In operation planning, costs is one of the important component to note for. So this research was conducted, which aims to analyze the costs to be incurred by the company to do overburden stripping activities. Based on the work planning unit, one of the overburden blocks that must be peeled is 100 x 200 meters with a various depth. After the calculation, the cost of overburden stripping activity starting from land clearing is Rp. 620.540/Ha, top soil stripping Rp. 37.589/bcm, drilling and blasting Rp. 1.003/bcm, and overburden stripping Rp. 34.133/bcm. so that the cost to be incurred to peel one block of overbuden is Rp. 8.900.528.279
