Abstract

PT. Bukit Asam, Tbk has a problem where the size of coal fragmentation is not reached, with the actual yield of coal fragmentation> 20 cm in November of 9.29%, the size of fragmentation is recommended by the company of 5% as a dump hopper requirement. From the results of direct observations that have been carried out in the field results of coal fragmentation analysis, the actual condition of the ripping space is 1.2 meters, the depth of penetration of 1.1 meters, the size of fragmentation> 20 cm is 9.29% and the total fragmentation is 17,750 coal grains. The ripping spacing is 1 meter, the depth of penetration is 1.4 meters, the fragmentation size> 20 cm is 4.97% and the total fragmentation is 18,312 coal grains. The ripping spacing is 0.6 meters, the depth of penetration is 1.4 meters, the fragmentation size> 20 cm is 1.75% and the total fragmentation is 20,866 coal grains. The factors that influence the fragmentation of coal ripping are, the space between the rips, the cycle time, the depth of penetration of the ripper. The productivity of one unit of Komatsu D 375A bulldozer-ripper in the coal ripping process with a spacing of 1.2 meters, a penetration depth of 1.1 meters is 881.53 tons / hour and a space of 1 meter, a penetration depth of 1.4 is 1,117.59 tons / hours while spacing 0.6 meters, the penetration depth of 1.4 is 822.75 tons / hour.
