Abstract

The coal needs of the Tanjung Enim PLTU 3 x 10 MW are supplied from the West Banko mine which is about 5 kilometers from the location of the PLTU. With calorie coal, 4,200-6,000 gross air-received (GAR) kcal / kg. The PLTU uses a Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) type boiler, a boiler stoker (fluidized bed) in which the coal was mechanically fed using a conveyor belt to the bottom of the combustion chamber and given an air blow from the underside of the boiler. The results of coal combustion at PT Bukit Energi Servis Integrated produce B3 waste in the form of fly ash and basic ash. So in this case research is needed on the analysis of the extraction of silica minerals from Fly and Bottom Ash in order to obtain pure SiO2 levels with certain characteristics using acidic methods with 3M and HCl KOH solutions with variations in concentrations of 4N, 6N, 8N, and 10N. The results showed varied results for fly ash HCN 4N 3,230 grams HCl 6N 5.5809 grams, HCl 8N at 3.7415 grams, HCl 10N 6, 1262 grams. For bottom ash silica mass with HCL 4N 2.0605 grams, HCL 6N 1.8382 grams, HCl 8N 2.0085 grams, HCl 10N 2.0371 grams. Then the extraction results were tested for their characteristics by using XRF (X-Ray Flourescenes) with SiO2 content of bottom ash silica minerals at 50.58% and silica minerals on fly ash containing SiO2 content of 66.72%.
