Abstract

ABSTRACT The title of this study was “The Development of Learning Medium using Digital Scrapbook Based Photoshop in the History Lesson at SMA Negeri 6 Palembang” contained the data about the legends who had important roles in the proclamation of the independence of Indonesia. this research has been carried out and applied in Class XI MIPA 6 in SMA Negeri 6 Palembang. The formulation of the problem raised was how to develop digital scrapbook based photoshop that was valid and has effectiveness. The purpose of this research is to develop a digital scrapbook based photoshop that was valid and has effectiveness. This study was development research which used Hannafin and Peck model. The steps of the development were (1) needs analysis phase, (2) design phase, and (3) development and implementation phase. The validity of learning medium was done by three experts, those were media expert, material expert, and learning design expert. The validity of this medium was 4.35 with very valid category, the validity of the material was 3.97 with valid category, and the validity of the learning design was 3.89 with valid category. The influence of digital scrapbook based photoshop in the History lesson at SMA Negeri 6 Palembang could be seen from the improvement of their learning outcomes before and after using medium of learning in the field trial phase 40.62% with Ngain 0.76. This showed that digital scrapbook based photoshop in the History lesson in class XII MIPA at SMA Negeri 6 Palembang with main material the legends who had important roles in the proclamation of the independence of Indonesia was valid and effective.
