Abstract

One effort to reduce the number of malnourished children under five is to provide exclusive breastfeeding. The achievement of exclusive breastfeeding coverage at Tanjung Raja Health Center is still below the national target in 2019 reaching 27,09%. The research objective is to evaluate the achievements of the implementation of the Exclusive Breastfeeding program at the Tanjung Raja Health Center Ogan Ilir District This study uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews, observation, and document review. There were 26 informants consisting of the head of the community health center, the person in charge of the nutrition program, the village midwife, and mother who have babies aged 6-12 months. Research with a system approach includes input, process, and output. Data analysis was performed by content analysis. Research results in input in terms of human resources do not have breastfeeding counselors. Methods through counseling and do not yet have standard operational procedures. Funds come from the health operational assistance and the health services. The facilities/infrastructure of health centers have breastfeeding corners and communication, information, and education media but do not have props and KP-ASI. In the process, there is no specific program planning. Organizing there is no organizational structure division of tasks. The implementation of the program still has indicators that have not run according to Government Regulation number 33 of 2012. Supervision is carried out by looking at the village midwife reports by region. In therms of output the coverage of the Exclusive Breastfeeding in 2019 reached 27,09%, still below the national target of 80% due to the weak implementation of management functions in the program. It can be concluded that the evaluation of input is insufficient human resources, the method has not standard operating procedure, infrastructure is inadequate. Process evaluation, planning and organizing programs do not yet exits, the implementation of the program there are still indicators that have not run according to Government Regulation number 33 of 2012. Then the evaluation of the achievement of exclusive breastfeeding in the public health center Tanjung Raja is still low and has not yet reached the national target. Advice on forming breastfeeding counselors and making plans and organizing and implementing program activities in accordance with government regulation number 33 of 2012 concerning exclusive breastfeeding.
