Abstract

Palembang City in the Province of South Sumatra is one of the high fish consumers because fish-based food is a typical food in Palembang. The fish trade in Palembang is one of the accommodations in public markets. Public markets have a public perception with a chaotic, dirty, and smelly. Often visitors feel confused and lost while in the market due to poor market conditions and a lack of signs and referral information. Therefore, the planning and designing of the Modern Fish Market aims to provide trade facilities and recreational facilities such as culinary tourism that can accommodate fish trading activities using a wayfinding architectural approach. The wayfiding architectural approach is a solution so that visitors can do activities comfortably in the market without getting lost and make it easier to reach the part you want to visit. And also provided modern fish selling facilities so that it can maintain the freshness of the fish so that the market remains clean and comfortable.
